Content Partners - Collaboration

What is collaboration?
Collaboration is an act of working jointly. Here, collaboration would be between e-nalanda and the content authors (content partners) who wish to share their knowledge with the global masses.
Why should I collaborate?
Collaboration accelerates the growth of the knowledge eco-system. This essentially means that if you are gaining knowledge from others, it may be now your turn to share the same. What more, you get paid in this process of sharing knowledge with each other.
Who is a content partner?
Anyone who wishes to share his or her knowledge and has legal access to any content is considered as a content partner. Additionally, anyone who can produce contents on their own or through e-nalanda is treated as a content partner.
How do I collaborate?
To collaborate, you first need to register yourself as a content partner with e-nalanda. You can then create videos as per our guidelines (we mean strictly educational and knowledge sharing) and upload the same on our website. In case you are not in a position to create your own videos, you can get it produced and uploaded by e-nalanda.
Is there any verification process while registering as a content partner?
If you are a paid content partner, all we need is the taxation information from your side. For this, you need to submit your Permanent Account Number (PAN) and PAN card image during the registration process. For non-paid content partners, there is no verification process.

If you are a paid content partner, we need the taxation information from your side. For this, you need to submit your PAN (or equivalents) and PAN card image during the registration process.
Do I get paid if I upload or share my videos?
That is entirely your choice. If you wish to make your videos freely available, you can do so. However, if you think that your knowledge is too valuable to be shared for free, you may fix a price for your video.
Can I produce my own videos?
Yes, you can produce your own videos as per our guidelines (we mean strictly educational and knowledge sharing) and share it with the rest of the world through e-nalanda. Check our video production guidelines.
Will e-nalanda help in producing my videos?
Once we have verified the script and the copyrights, we will help you to produce your videos. However, the following criteria must be met before we start with the production:
  • You should possess some acceptable credentials in the subject you are going to present.
  • You should be willing to come to our studios.
  • You should clear the audition test.
  • You should sign the agreement.
Do I have to pay e-nalanda to get my videos produced?
No. If your script is selected, e-nalanda will produce and upload your videos for free.
How do I submit the videos that I have produced?
You can directly upload it to our server or alternatively courier it to us in a CD/DVD format. Please refer to our video production guidelines. while producing and submitting your videos.
What are the mandatory criteria for uploading a video?
Following are the mandatory criteria for uploading a video:
  • The video must be prepared as per our guidelines.
  • A brief description about the video needs to be submitted.
  • Few samples of the video needs to be submitted for free viewing by the target audience.
What is a topic?
A topic is a collection of videos that cover a specific subject. A topic may have one or more videos.
How many videos can be there in a topic?
We expect a minimum of one video for a given topic. However, statistics at our end makes us believe that on an average there could be around 10 to 14 videos, each with duration of one hour.
Is there any restriction on the size and duration of the videos?
There is no restriction on the size or the duration of the videos. However, for practical reasons, we recommend a video with an average duration of one hour.
How many videos can be there in a topic?
We expect a minimum of one video for a given topic. However, statistics at our end makes us believe that on an average there could be around 10 to 14 videos, each with duration of one hour.
What is a sample video?
Sample video is a trailer video which explains your topic in brief. Duration for this video can be around 10 -15 mins.
Is there any difference in the format for sample videos?
Yes. There is a difference in the format for the sample videos. Please view the video production guidelines. section for the same.
What is the difference between a content partner and a general user?
A content partner is a registered member with e-nalanda and has the rights to upload videos, which he or she legally owns. Also, each time a video is rented or bought, e-nalanda shares the revenue with the content partner. A general user is also a registered member with e-nalanda. However, general users do not have the rights to upload videos. They can only view the videos after renting or purchasing them.
